Steve will share his expertise on website and blog marketing along with a full range of portraiture work, including seniors, weddings, children, and his signature “Trash the Dress” pho- tos. He will also cover his technique of using Video Light in any given session.
During the afternoon, we will be breaking up into groups where you will have the opportunity to go on a live shoot with a bride, a groom, a limo, and high school seniors.

In late 2006, Steve Chesler, owner of Chesler Photography in upstate New York, photographed his first Trash the Dress session of a bride riding horseback in the snow. That event jump started a media frenzy which altered the direction of his business. He has photographed dozens of brides doing these sessions, including shoots that were covered by Inside Edition, the Rochester ABC affiliate, as well as many newspaper and magazine articles. Chesler now brings his vision and experience with these sessions to you in an exciting, high energy program for photographers who want to offer Trash the Dress sessions to their clients. The program will feature images from the many shoots he has done, along with the marketing ideas that convince brides to do the unthinkable to their dress. He will also discuss the opportunities that came up with the different media sources as well as taking an in depth look into the use of his website and blog to spread the word about trashing the dress. Time permitting, the program will feature a live location shoot with model brides, using natural and reflected light, as well as video light. After the shoot, Chesler will demonstrate some of the Photoshop techniques used on the images to complete his vision.
